SUZANNE Gibson

Suzanne is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 29 years of practice across both the NHS and the private sector. While she treats the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions—from sports injuries to post-operative rehabilitation—she has a specialist interest in the neck, upper limb, and hands.​​​​

 

Specialist Hand & Upper Limb Therapy

Suzanne’s expertise in hand therapy began in 1999 with intensive postgraduate training at the specialist Frenchay Burns Unit in Bristol, under the teaching of Consultant Hand Surgeon, Mr Donald Sammut. During this time, she developed invaluable skills in:

• Complex tendon injuries and wound management.

• Custom splint making and orthopaedic trauma.

• Amputations and comprehensive post-operative recovery.

 

Since then, Suzanne has continued to evolve her practice, moving beyond acute injury management to focus on chronic issues, looking at the mechanics of the entire upper limb to find long-term solutions for her patients.

 

A Holistic & ‘Hands-On’ Approach

Suzanne is particularly focused on posture and biomechanics, ensuring the whole body works in unison. She integrates manual therapy, soft tissue work, and joint mobilisation treatment techniques with her qualifications as a trained Acupuncturist and Pilates Instructor.
