Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a mild body conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall central core stability and posture. The mind and body are brought together to achieve these aims through the following eight principles:

Pilates suits all ages and fitness levels and is particularly beneficial for those with back pain, poor posture, neurological conditions, sports injuries, arthritis, stress related illness and before and after pregnancy.

Modified Pilates is aimed at the clinical population, i.e. those people with specific joint, nerve or muscular problems.

During the first session one of our Bracknell Physiotherapists will assess your specific needs in order to target the exercises appropriately and you will gain an introduction to Pilates, as you are taught some basic exercises to begin your program. This enables you to have a basic understanding of Pilates and prevent injuries.
