Pilates is a mild body conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall central core stability and posture. This can also has a positive impact on Concentration, Centring, Breathing, Isolation, Routine, Precision, Control and Flowing movement.
During the first session we will assess your specific needs in order to find the most appropriate way for you to gain an introduction to Pilates.
Basic exercises are taught in our beginners program giving you an understanding of Pilates and how to prevent injuries. Pilates suits all ages and fitness levels and is particularly beneficial for those with back pain, poor posture, neurological conditions, sports injuries, arthritis, stress related illness and before and after pregnancy.

Low Level Pilates
Ideal for absolute beginners, new mums looking to ease back into exercise and people suffering from Osteoporosis. Numbers in the class are intentionally low so that you get lots of one-to-one time with the Physiotherapist.
Clinical Pilates and Modified Pilates
Tailored exercises aimed specifically at those people with joint, nerve or muscular problems.
Fiona Kearsley is our Pilates specialist, who teaches other Pilates instructors nationwide. Rebecca Colledge, Eli Young & Mike Chisholm are all fully qualified and highly experienced Pilates instructors in all aspects of Equipment and Mat-work Pilates.
The Physio Studio offers Modified one-to-one Pilates sessions.
